Things That YHWH Hates

 

We often speak of what YHWH loves — mercy, faithfulness, obedience, truth.  But to walk in Covenant with Him is to also know what He hates.

Not because He is harsh. But because He is holy.  Not because He is angry without cause, but because these things bring destruction to the people He formed in His image.

 

To hate what YHWH hates is to align your heart with His.  It is to take no part in lies, violence, pride, or treachery.  It is to stand for justice when the world twists it.  It is to love the light — and reject the shadows.

 

The Scriptures do not leave us guessing.  YHWH has told us plainly what is detestable in His eyes.  And if we claim to love Him, then we cannot turn a blind eye to the things He despises.  

 

These six things YHWH hates,
 

Yes, seven are an abomination to Him… (Proverbs 6:16)

 

This is not a list of random offenses — it is a mirror.  It is a reflection of what separates man from his Maker.  And a call to purify our hearts, that we might walk uprightly before Him.

 

To fear YHWH is to love Him and to love what He loves.
And to hate what He hates is the beginning of wisdom.
