The Easter Story

The Easter Bunny's New Religion

Introduction

It’s called “Resurrection Sunday.” Churches swell, choirs rise, and millions gather to proclaim that the tomb is empty. But behind the lilies, the sunrise services, and the pastel pageantry lies a story that began long before the New Testament—and in places far from Jerusalem. Long before there was an “Easter,” there was Ishtar. There were eggs and fertility gods, sunrise rituals and springtime sacrifices. This teaching pulls back the curtain on what many believe is a holy day, revealing the uncomfortable origins hidden beneath its surface.

Because if we care about truth—real truth—we must ask:

Does YHWH ever command this observance?

Does it align with His Appointed Times, or does it replace them?

And most of all, if the foundation is pagan… can the celebration ever be clean? The time has come to confront the Easter story not with sentiment—but with Scripture.
